MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The family enjoyed a Christmas Eve service and then hurried home to do some gift unwrapping!! Before I could get out of my church clothes, the kids were jumping around like kangaroos.....no energy at all :) Some of the fun gifts included a family board game, Nintendo DS's, electric blanket, DVD player, a dog that sings, a tie that sings, legos, and finally some clothing. Lots of fun was had and now we await the arrival of Santa to fill our stockings. The kids will be excited to empty the surprises in the morning. We are very thankful for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We pray that each one of you has a personal relationship with Him and has a wonderful time with family and friends this Christmas season. May all of you be blessed in the New Year.

I think I can.....I think I can......

Okay, I've been a little slow on the uptake and creativity to pour into this site. I'm looking into some updates and will see what I can do before the year end :) It just seems like the house hold chores continue to keep me busy with little time to spair. Maybe I just need a house cleaner!!! What a wonderful idea for my hubby for Christmas.....one of you should suggest it:) I'll wait to hear the results.

Our family was able to travel for Thanksgiving to Illinois. Along with the bird and stuffing we also got to enjoy Christmas early with Nana and Auntie Chris. What a delight that was for the kids and then to come home to snow was a great joy for them also. Glad we made it back before the roads were too icey. Hopefully by this weekend, we'll be off for the family tree hunt!! What fun that is, especially when there is snow on the ground. Gotta love the tree hunt and then some hot cocoa to follow. Yummmmmmmm......g'night to all and have a wonderful Tuesday.

Monsters under your bed?

Since I've added a bit about Elly lately, I thought that I would offer up some advice from Nathan. I went to tuck him in after switching Elly's laundry (see post below)tonight and he had neatly arranged most of his stuffed animals at the top of his pillows....and underneath...was his nerf dart gun with one dart. I was wondering why, so I asked.....he politely told me that he would be ready for anything in the middle of the night!! So mom, you have Gracie (our dog) who sleeps next to your bed and she will protect you. Then we PRAYED! From a muddy little girl to a bed full of spectators my night hasn't been complete until Cody has walked in after work and awakens me to let me know he is safe and home. So, if you think you have monsters under your bed, best get a dog or maybe borrow some of Nathan's stuffed animals, but better be looking for you own dart gun...I don't think that Nathan will share that!!

MUD & GILRS? NOT!

I'm writing this in bright pink.......why......to remind myself that I do have one of those prized packages from God we call a "girl". I thought that little girls were full of sparkles, nail polish and fun little ruffles???? Well if that is the case, Elly's brothers have some explaining to do:) Today I got a lovely email from Elly's teacher explaining that her last recess of the day was all about playing baseball, however, there was no ball.....no teams and most importantly, no spectators! The discovery of wet lime was complete fun for her until the 9th inning bell rang. Not one teacher thought that her discovery was a winning decision. Needless to say, when I saw her....my smile was not complete. All of her winter clothing was stuffed into bags along with her boots! When she slid into the van a big cloud of white dust surrounded her like she had just slid into home plate! Thank goodness lime is white and easily cleaned off of everything my little princesstouched!! The washing machine and I have had a team effort in cleaning what I thought that only little boys did. ;0 So enjoy the picture of her wonderful atire and please note: there are no ruffles or sparkles to this outfit above:)and just so you know....the gloves were PINK!!

Swim Party Pix

Still having a hard time uploading.....so, I'm going to stop for now. Have a good week!

Elly's Swimming Party!! Happy B-day!

We had a swimming party at the Red Fox in Waverly for Elly's 8th birthday. Most of the girls from Elly's class arrived along with some family memebers. What fun the kids had. It was an awesome hit, especially since the winter has been so long!!! The adults for the most part enjoyed the relaxing at the pool side, except for Mike....who had to swim with his daughter(my niece)who doesn't swim alone yet. Glad I didn't have to come out in my itsy...bitsy...tiny....tiny....polka...dotted...????? Wet suit!!! Anyway, after swimming for a bit the party moved to a table full of treats and wet chilren. Lots of giggles were shared and many cool presents were opened by Elly. I will get some more pictures posted. Currently the site is having problems letting me upload.

Another SNOW Day!

I wonder if I offer some $$$$ to the weatherman......maybe he could send a little sun and warmer temps our way! I've lost track of how many days my kids have either had a delayed start or early out or NO SCHOOL!! due to winter weather. We haven't seen a full week of school since at least December 1st. Talk about cabin fever...even the kids are starting to wonder when spring will arrive. However, I did notice that the geese are starting to return....not sure what there thinking!!

I'll be working on some pictures of the kids and the snow.....and more snow.....and lots of snow....did I mention SNOW!!! Haven't quite figured out how to place a picture into this blog with ease yet. I do have some friends who I'm sure will help me out in this area. No names mentioned Ellen. Good night for now and enjoy the warmer weather that is coming our way.
